La veterana banda de Black / Death USURPER comunicó que se separan, por medio de un mensaje publicado en su sitio oficial, en el cual expresna su agradecimiento hacia su público, y los motivos por los cuales se ha llegado a esta decisión.
Traducción del comunicado: Luego de un poco mas de 13 años, cinco discos de estudio y cientos de conciertos en 17 países diferentes alrededor del mundo, USURPER ha llegado a su fin. Cada uno en USURPER desea agradecer a sus duros fanáticos y amigos por sobre una década de locura de metal. Esta decisión fue muy dura para los miembros de la banda, pero como dice el refrán: "Todas las cosas deben terminar".
Aunque la decisión de terminar USURPER no fué fácil, fue lo correcto. Desafortunadamente, entre cambios de miembros, ediciones y carencia de comunicación entre los miembros restantes de la banda, ahora fue tiempo de clavar sobre el ataúd de usurper para hablar.
La página oficial de Myspace seguirá siendo mantenida y trataremos de mantener a cada uno actualizado de lo que los miembros restantes de la banda estén haciendo. Rick (Scythe; Guitarra / Voces) comenzó una nueva banda llamda NIGHTSHADE y Jon (Necromancer, Bajo / Voces) y Chris (Carcass Chris; Guitarra rítmica) También perseguirán otras salidas musicales. Everyone in USURPER would like to thank their die-hard fans and friends for over a decade of metal insanity!
